Bigger than Woodstock!
Early report from the steps of the Capitol are that the DC Tea Party is ‘bigger than Woodstock’. The most recent estimate is that 2 million people are either in the Capitol or trying to get in. Header shot photo of DC thanks to Matt Murphy who was in DC.
This website shows more shots of the side streets and the length and breadth of the march which started at 9 AM and went on for four hours. Many people were left stuck on the freeways.
But first, word from Manchester, NH is that 300 people have marched down Elm St. to the destination. Present was one woman who said she drove up to attend the DC rally but there were so many people clogging the streets and subway system, she could not get near the Capitol! So she continued on to join us here in NH!

As the camera panned the crowd in DC, I was looking for the blue NH state flag and anyone from our bunch wearing their yellow NH Tea Party shirts. I just happened to see one of our organizers walk by the camera of another protester (not from NH). With almost 2M people there, what were the chances of that?
Also, when I look at the signs, I see people demanding accountability, fiscal responsibility and freedom. I do NOT see racist or violent messages.
Compare these signs to the ones like THESE and THESE that we saw regularly during the Bush administration and pray tell, which are the ones threatening violence?

Note: This movement is NOT organized by FreedomWorks or any other DC group. The NH Tea Party Coalition does not get funding or directions or so much as an email from any such groups. Some of the ‘leaders’ mentioned on many left wing websites, are unknown to us. We are just Americans and we stand for taking back the country. I guess the Alinsky tactic of targeting the head is nullified by this fact!
Nevertheless, the left-wing haters staged a bomb threat (this seems to be a favorite tactic of the left) on the FreedomWorks group yesterday.
I guess we’re now at a score of 7-0 with the liberals winning in the violence department, including two shootings yesterday by a pro-abortion 33-year old man.

Shouts of “Go Home, CNN” can be heard in the background as well.
The NY Times initially reported that 500 people turned out for this rally. And this is the paper that Katie Couric thought Sarah Palin should be reading? Notice that only a very few Congressmen showed their faces, speculation being that the people are unhappy with MOST of their representatives.
Even MSNBC admitted there were hundreds of thousands, and to those naysayers, the time lapse video is real. The proof is in the mapping by the park service itself…
