NH Legislature Takes a Page from Pelosi

Just when you thought things could not get any worse, our far leftwing legislature in NH, largely unchecked by our supposed ‘centrist’ Governor, has taken a page from the Pelosi playbook once again.

Despite the assertion that he wasn’t in any hurry, and statements to the effect that this amendment is to help us keep ‘local control’, it seems that Rep. Ed Butler and Co are determined to shove Obamacare down our throats no matter what happens this fall.

Rep Ed Butler (D) of Hart’s Location has filed an amendment to SB 455 that would create an unelected NH bureaucracy within our insurance commission for the purpose of imposing all of Obamacare’s requirements upon the people of NH, and more, regardless of whether it is repealed or not at the federal level.

Pretty sneaky.

Since they have become the majority in NH it has been common for the left to fast track many right-depriving bills that would never have otherwise seen the light of day, such as gun bans and draconian taxes, about 83 new or increased in just 3 year’s time!

Instead of having our Attorney General file a lawsuit against this unconstitutional federal intrusion, our Governor has stood by and done NOTHING to protect the people of NH. And now the supporters of government controlled care in NH are fast tracking our future into a situation where our health decisions will be under the control of unelected bureaucrats against the will of 58% of the NH voting public.

Time for these statists to go in 2010!
