NH Soldiers and Citizens Make Afghan Kids Happy

A note from an anonymous soldier who’d received a donation of stuff toys to hand out to the children in Afghanistan, donated by the Pease Greeters.

Just wanted to drop you a short note to let you know that I took one of the boxes to the bazaar this weekend to hand out to the Afghan children and was practically mobbed by these kids. I even had adults coming up to me asking for some…they told me they had children at home. I’m not even sure that I had enough in the one box to pass out 1 each. I noticed a few kids were coming back asking for more…I told them “one each”. At one point it was practically a riot and had to lift the box up so they wouldn’t knock it out of my hands. Attached is a picture of a little boy who was very thankful and told me he had other brothers and sisters at home. His dad was there and told me it was ok to take his picture.
