Make no mistake, this Granite State Fair Tax Coalition is all about an income tax.
A few years ago, they tried to mount a campaign against those candidates taking the CNHT Pledge against broadbased taxes by introducing a confusing warrant article on the ballots of NH’s town elections.
Some folks were fooled by it, even though they also voted for less spending. The GSFTC’s article was non-binding but nevertheless, that’s what this is about.
The coalition will be holding a series of forums called Putting Our Money Where Our Mouth is: New Hampshire’s Priorities and Budget starting in late September. One forum will be held in Portsmouth on Thursday, Sept. 23 at 7:00 PM in the Levenson Room of the Portsmouth Public Library. Each forum will be recorded for broadcast on community access TV.
It might be interesting to attend their forum and ask questions. More candidates than ever have taken taxpayer protection pledges such as offered by CNHT, NHAC and AFP-NH.
See when all forums are scheduled on the EVENTS page.
