UK Wants Workers’ Whole Paycheck

Many years ago a reporter named Joan Veon stood up at a UN meeting where they were scheming to raise more taxes and said “Why don’t you just take everyone’s paycheck and then give them back what you think they’ll need?” Alas, the speaker admitted, “That’s what we are trying to do”.

Well now the UK has suggested it… even though, our thoughts are, isn’t that what they do already?

“The UK’s tax collection agency is putting forth a proposal that all employers send employee paychecks to the government, after which the government would deduct what it deems as the appropriate tax and pay the employees by bank transfer.”
