All over, voting machines seem to be confused.
In this article a voter reports problem with ballot machine, a man said he voted straight-party ticket and got opposite results… more than once.
Sam Laughinghouse of New Bern, NC said he pushed the button to vote Republican in all races, but the voting machine screen displayed a ballot with all Democrats checked. He cleared the screen and tried again with the same result, he said. Then he asked for and received help from election staff.
“They pushed it twice and the same thing happened,” Laughinghouse said. “That was four times in a row. The fifth time they pushed it and the Republicans came up and I voted.”
This is typical of a voting machine that has been ‘fixed’ to give a certain percentage to one party or another. You know, 4 for me, 1 for you?
In Texas, a man noticed something very strange: as he tried to submit his ballot, it changed. Again. And again. The electronic voting machine he was using kept switching his votes to Green Party candidates.
In Las Vegas, Nevada a voter claims that she intended to vote for Sharron Angle, the Republican in that Congressional Senate battle, but when she tried to vote for Angle but Sen. Harry Reid’s name was already checked. The voter claimed that she wasn’t alone in her voting experience, and that her husband and several others voting at the same time all had the same thing happen.
North Carolina, Texas and Nevada, just how widespread is this problem?
UPDATE! Turns out, the voting machines in the story above about Nevada are under the control of SEIU. Yes you heard that right, SEIU.
