More disturbing news has us thinking that the UN’s Agenda 21 is making more inroads than most people know about, or are willing to believe. These stories are proof that it’s here and powerful forces of the unelected, in conjunction with non-governmental and private organizations, are enabling it. It’s 2012.. Do you know what your ‘regional’ (unelected) government is doing?
“Smart Growth” policies to steer people away from suburbs and country and into the cities…
“Mahoney said she hopes the Legislature will endorse the plan by October so money can be included in next year’s budget. While one lawmaker praises the plan, Legislature Chairman Ryan McMahon, R-Syracuse, is not so sure. “How do you tell someone who owns acreage they can’t develop it?” he asks.”
“President Obama is not a fan of America’s suburbs. Indeed, he intends to abolish them. With suburban voters set to be the swing constituency of the 2012 election, the administration’s plans for this segment of the electorate deserve scrutiny. Obama is a longtime supporter of “regionalism,” the idea that the suburbs should be folded into the cities, merging schools, housing, transportation, and above all taxation. To this end, the president has already put programs in place designed to push the country toward a sweeping social transformation in a possible second term. The goal: income equalization via a massive redistribution of suburban tax money to the cities.”
And in New Mexico, the idea that the ‘state’ owns all your water, has been put into play…
“The lawyers told the committee the U.S. government is apparently trying to take over legal management of the state’s water supply. The federal government has asserted claims for damages to groundwater in a natural resource damage case in New Mexico involving Chevron/Molycorp. The claim seeks for those damages to be awarded in the form of future water rights management.”
(b) The United States shall promote this policy by:
(i) ensuring a comprehensive and collaborative framework for the stewardship of the ocean, our coasts, and the Great Lakes that facilitates cohesive actions across the Federal Government, as well as participation of State, tribal, and local authorities, regional governance structures, nongovernmental organizations, the public, and the private sector;
