Rochester Wisely Votes NO on Granite State Future Program

After evaluating the mounting opposition of the public, the Rochester City Council on September 4 wisely voted to reject federal HUD/EPA/DOT money which would require them to implement “Granite State Future”, a draconian “sustainability” plan that would affect every aspect of the lives of residents from housing, transportation, food, water, and health care.

Now Dover residents will be facing the same federal power grab when City Council members will vote on whether to accept money to implement GSF which sets up a huge unelected central planning bureaucracy charged with the management of every aspect of their lives.

The Dover City Council will take public comment on the matter on the 12th of September.

Normally they meet on the second and fourth Wednesdays, the 12th is the second Wednesday. The meetings are held in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 288 Central Avenue, Dover, NH 03820

Dover is a member of the UN’s “ICLEI” program and takes direction from David Axelrod’s “Center for American Progress”, a progressive think tank. However it may not be too late to stop Granite State Future there.

The mission and descriptions of their ‘sustainability’ plans are taken directly from Agenda 21 materials…

“Article 1 Section 10 of the U.S. Constitution prohibits states or their subdivisions from entering into any “treaty, alliance or confederation” with a foreign political organization. Contracts with ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability headquartered in Bonn, Germany fit into this prohibition. Increasingly, American citizens are becoming aware of this fact.”
