Nashua Regional Planning Commission to Meet 9/19

The Nashua RPC (NRPC) is the group that is taking the lead on the Granite State Future program (GSF), which is funded by Barack Obama’s Sustainable Communities Initiative (SCI). http://www.nashuarpc.org/

This past week, the citizens of Rochester, with some help from others, were able to put a stop to GSF in their town, causing their Executive Council to reject (8-4) the GSF Federal Grant. This was a big victory, and will create momentum for future action.

One of the things we have been doing, is attending as many of the RPC meetings as we can, videotaping, gathering documents, and asking questions. This meeting will contain most of the big players who are behind The Granite State Future program.

The NRPC is holding their Executive Committee and regular Commission meetings back-to-back on Wednesday, September 19th, starting at 6pm, in Milford.

If there is any way you can make it, please do. You don’t have to do anything if you don’t want – just your presence, in otherwise empty meetings, will make a statement.

Of course, you always have the option to respectfully ask a question or request information – or just bring a video camera/tripod.
