People who have no idea how much freedom they will have lost if they get these items in place are making ‘demands’ as if these things come free. They do not. If Regional Planners are able to convince people that these ideas originated from the community, they will have the authority to implement their pre-determined ‘plans’. If this doesn’t spur you into action what will?
Here are some of the comments from the GSF public comment input page; some even asked for income taxes or more taxes (although most asked for less)!

“1. Commuter bus service from New London P&R to Concord and Lebanon (along I-89 corridor)! 2. More political/financial support for things like libraries, arts and culture. 3. More political/financial support for things like walkable communities, local agriculture businesses, and climate change adaptation that make our communities more resilient. 4. Economic development programs that focus more on retaining and supporting existing businesses than attracting ever more commercial development. 5. Less complaining about taxes and more reform to make them more equitable. Taxes can be a good thing – we all share in the benefits”. – Sunapee
