Defiant county official refuses to hand over list of gun owners to newspaper
In an update to an earlier story, we were pleased to read that Putman County Clerk (New York) Dennis Sant refused to hand over the names of gun owners to the Journal News because he knows they have already endangered thousands of gun owners and non-gun owners alike by printing their locations in Westchester and Rockland Counties.
FOX Reporter Kelly asks him why he would just not hand over the names if it’s legal for them to have this information. My dearest Ms. Kelly, what is legal is not always ethical or moral — or safe.
We praise Mr. Sant for his judgement in this matter. He says he’s “not backing down”.
