Ayotte and Shaheen: Arm the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt

Rand Paul’s amendment “To prohibit the sale, lease, transfer, retransfer, or delivery of F-16 aircraft, M1 tanks, or certain other defense articles or services to the Government of Egypt” failed in the Senate by a vote of 79-19.

The vote was to ‘table’ the amendment which is why there are more YEAs than NAYs. Therefore a YEA vote was in opposition to Dr. Paul’s amendment.

But here is the scary part: both NH Senators Ayotte Ayotte (R) and Shaheen Ayotte (D) voted YEA. Ayotte is also on the record stating she would arm the rebels in Syria, who are mostly Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda types who are killing Christians and destroying their churches, in order to topple the Assad presidency. Remember, Syria is a secular government, a republic, and has done nothing to warrant our intervention.

Ayotte is under the thumb of Senator John McCain, and his McCain Institute for International Leadership. McCain has also been an advocate of bombing Iran.
