On May 19, 2013 a contingent from the NHTPC led by one of our intrepid organizers from Littleton, protested the IRS in Manchester.
Here are the photos.
On June 19, this is what they saw in DC:
What We Saw at the Counter Revolution
Washington, D.C., June 19,2013: A group of us from the Granite State and Maine joined up with more than 10,000 other fired up patriots at Teas Party Patriots Audit the IRS Rally. (Some say the whole group was closer to 15,000, as there were two events going on and when the immigration debate group was factored in our numbers increased.) Largely, we have Glenn Beck to thank for getting that many Americans to show up in the middle of the work week at short notice. Mark Levin also promoted the rally on his radio show.
The tone in our nation’s capitol is vastly different now than we have observed at past events. Although I personally did not encounter problems, others were told by park police that they could not go from the rally on the west lawn to the immigration debate {Steve King, Michelle Bachmann and Louie Gohmert had to call it a press conference to even get the permit for that day. And there were written rules handed down from on high as to how they had to conduct the event.) A Tea Party Patriots official received a phone call message telling the group that they had to keep their members at the west lawn site! (You can reference this at the www.teapartypatriots.org website.) Imagine, there are events going on all over D.C. Under our First Amendment rights, you, a free citizen should be able to stroll from event to event at will.
Apparently, one of the policemen yelled at Glenn Beck for being too close to a barrier. He was so shocked by the change in tone there that, when he gave his rousing speech, he observed that he would rather be in Las Vagas then D.C., for there at least you know who the crooks and hookers are!
We attended the immigration “press conference” in the morning from 9 to about noon and heard many facts that Dirty Harry has managed to keep mum during the senate debate by limiting open debate on many amendments. The gentleman responsible for adding the work requirement to the welfare reform during Reagan’s administration painted a sobering picture of the high fiscal cost of this Amnesty II Travesty. After the TP Patriots rally ended at 2, some of us returned to the immigration debate. At the very end, Bachmann opened the questioning to members of the audience. We were shocked when a gentleman asked what we could do to help them and B. told him they weren’t allowed to speculate on this. Reading from the rules document they were handed she noted how they were not to advise activists as to any course to take. However, many in the audience were happy to advise the questioner.
All these hurdles thrown in the way of principled representatives simply trying to let Americlans know what is in this horror show bears the question What Are They Afraid Of? Sadly, it would appear that the elites are determined to once again keep American citizens in the dark as they rule over us, circumventing our Constitution and eroding more of our freedoms — if not outright collapsing the system that has made a great republic.
It was worthwhile to be in D.C. June 19. We showed that we are still OUT THERE and we showed the few courageous representatives fighting for us and our children’s future that we have their backs. We also learned from the actions of the park service that managed care apparently has spread to the concept of freedom of information in Washington, D.C.
Wake up fellow patriots. Summon up all the stamina you have. Go to town halls and blast our misguided politicians who went along with Amnesty Travesty II and put pressure on the representatives and Speaker Boehner.
