The NH Tea Party Does NOT Endorse Ted Cruz

Once again we are getting calls asking about our ‘event’ for Ted Cruz. There is no tea party event for Ted Cruz.

The legitimate tea party does NOT endorse candidates, is not part of the GOP or any other political party, and thus we certainly do NOT endorse Ted Cruz.

The event in question is listed as hosted by “Tea Party Nation” one of the many GOP PACs from OUTSIDE NH who use the name, formed in 2009 by a lawyer from DC, and which has nothing to do with us, and nothing to do with the legitimate, non-partisan tea party movement. There is no ‘national’ tea party.

Lke the Tea Party Patriots before them, these groups scam people out of money, then typically invade NH at election time, with the sole purpose of endorsing establishment neocons, just the kind of people we originally formed in protest against.

TPN’s founder Judson Philips, who in the past endorsed Newt Gingrich, once put out a voter guide sent around to NH that spread the lie that a constitutional candidate wanted “open borders.”
