Libertarians hate government forcing companies to do anything so this creates a bit of a conflicting school of thought among tea partiers.
If I owned a food company, it would definitely only deal with non-GMO foods and therefore I would be proud to voluntarily label my products. But many companies won’t, so are we therefore to assume their foods ARE “GMO”?
New Hampshire HB 660 would force companies to label genetically modified foods, aka “GMO”. Monsanto is the biggest producer of GMO foods.
We have a right to know what we buy and put into our bodies so it would be nice if companies voluntarily labeled their foods.. If they are NOT GMO, what do that have to hide? Otherwise, we will assume they are and skip over buying them.
On the following website is a petition to demand labeling. You have to love it, because Move On is George Soros’ baby and here it is being used against him. George Soros is the second largest stockholder in Monsanto.
