“FreedomWorks, the group that helped launch the Tea Party…” begins this article of June 18, 2014 from a well-known radical left rag called Miscellany Blue.
The only trouble is, the statement is patently false.
FreedomWorks was around for ages before the tea party, is NOT a tea party itself, and did NOT help launch the tea party in 2007 when we gathered at the harbors around the US to toss boxes in the water, boxes emblazoned with the issues that many young people felt were NOT being addressed leading up to the 2008 election. Their actions were successful because those issues (end the federal reserve, IRS, taxes, illegal wars, and personal freedoms) have become major issues in the forefront of every mainstream group today.
There is no such thing as a “national” tea party group, and certainly not FreedomWorks. Those groups the media refers to are GOP PACs who decided that stealing our name in 2009 would be very lucrative for them, and it has been, due to the ignorance of the public who keep sending them money.
MB did say one thing that is true: “Many local Tea Party groups and conservative activists have already rejected Brown’s candidacy.” But this does not matter since the NHTPC does not endorse and never will.
