The 10th Anniversary of the modern-day tea party is coming up on December 16, 2017 ! NHTPC remains an independent movement, not a political party, doesn’t ever take money, and is still going strong.
I honor of this anniversary, we are posting this newsletter publicly on our website. We cover real events and work on real issues, without the useless partisan bickering.
To see these as they are sent (not more than once a week) please sign up for the newsletter here.
*** ACTIVISM STARTS WITH YOU ***
Before setting out for any event, always check with the organizers for any changes in the details, and please note if an RSVP or ticket is required.
Please send any events you would like to see listed, or bills or issues you would like to call our attention to, to jane@nhteapartycoalition.org (hit reply to the bounce email to bypass spam filter)

OCTOBER 13 – CIVIC ED FOR THE COMMON GOOD in CONCORD
=====================================================
While it’s true that our public school students lack in instruction about the Constitution and how our government is supposed to work, just the description of this event ought to give you the creeps. Howard Zinn was a communist. Is this what we want for our public schools?
We’ve followed these NGOs and other groups and one of our members has written an article about this issue which we ask you to read so you can see the importance of attending this forum! THIS IS ABOUT LOCAL CONTROL and the HIJACKING OF OUR PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM. READ IT HERE: https://tinyurl.com/y8g66fcg
Many of you homeschool, but the majority cannot afford to do that.
The event:
What Kind of Citizen: Educating MS Students for the Common Good
Hosted by New Hampshire Institute for Civics Education
Friday, October 13 at 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
New Hampshire Historical Society
30 Park St, Concord, New Hampshire 03301
The New Hampshire Institute for Civics Education is partnering with the New Hampshire Association for Middle Education and the New Hampshire Historical Society to present this free day-long workshop for educators.

Westheimer received his Ph.D. from Stanford University and his B.S.E. from Princeton University. He is co-founder and executive director of Democratic Dialogue, a research collaborative dedicated to the critical exploration of democratic ideals in education and society. Westheimer’s recent award-winning book is Pledging Allegiance: The Politics of Patriotism in America’s Schools (foreword by the late Howard Zinn). He is also author of the critically acclaimed Among Schoolteachers: Community, Autonomy and Ideology in Teachers’ Work. He’s currently working on his third book, Restoring the Public in Public Education. He publishes widely in newspapers, magazines and scholarly journals. Learn more on his website.

DANGEROUS CONVENTION OF STATES PROJECT
=========================================
Once again, out-of-state lobbyists are asking to meet with NH legislators to convince them to vote for a dangerous and unnecessary Article V Convention!
Write to your Reps and tell them NO on the Con-Con!
Tenth Amendment Center, NHCCS.org and JBS are all constitutional scholars and AGAINST the Article V Convention. NHTPC agrees.
Find your Reps here: http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/house/default.aspx

NEW BOSS = OLD BOSS at HUD
==========================
Apparently with Republicans in charge, things are no different.
If we had REALLY withdrawn from the Paris agreement, why does the “agenda” to reshape our towns and cities continue with Ben Carson’s continuation of Obama’s policies at HUD?
Please read about why you need to get involved in local government!
Your towns and schools are being controlled by federal agencies that are following an international (UN globalism) agenda.

Future meetings of the Right to Know Study Commission will be held each Thursday at 1:30 pm through the end of October in the Legislative Office Building in Concord.
A public comment period is included in each meeting. Attend a future meeting and share your thoughts on this important issue. Help us shape the future of how Right to know complaints will be resolved in New Hampshire.
