We will not give up the fight to preserve our Constitutional Republic even in the face of this illegally drafted, unconstitutionally instituted bill which was forced upon us on this day of infamy, March 22, 2010.
We don’t know what it will take before some people wake up to the creeping progressivism — will you have to be denied a medical procedure because you are terminal or over 60? Or will it take having the IRS go into your bank account, or being fined or even jailed all because you don’t care to purchase government-approved health insurance? Or will you have to be taxed at 50-60-70% before you see what is going on here? Just what will it take before you see that creeping socialism is causing you to lose your rights and freedoms as our creator intended them for us and as guaranteed by the Constitution of our Founders?
We know that this has only strengthened our resolve. We will never give up the fight for liberty. We will simply redouble our efforts and hope you are with us.
The King, with “a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute tyranny over these states,” had “erected a multitude of new offices and sent hither swarms of officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.”
– Declaration of Independence 1776
What were taxes at the time, in 1776? “English taxes were in the range of 1 percent of income in most colonies, and possibly as high as 2.5 percent in the plantation colonies,” writes author Gary North. “For this, they went to war.”
