Obama tax cut plans would favor the rich over the middle class

The Bush tax cuts that the Obama Administration plans to leave in intact will actually put a lot more money (in dollar terms, not percentages) into rich households compared to middle-class households.

The Joint Committee on Taxation calculated that those who make over $200,000 will on average save well over $6,000 in 2011, while those who make $100,000 to $200,000 will on average save only $3,766. Those who make less than $100,000 will save even less than that.
