Update: This amusing thread from Blue Hampshire just about supports what I have said.

What they don’t know is, 20 people will show up WITHOUT even having SEEN our eblast! That’s been my experience. I can get 20 NEW names that way.

When we send an eblast, we get HUNDREDS as we did in Portsmouth.

One commenter just about admitted they have to pay people or offer food to get people to show up anywhere.
